Park Bom To Take A Rest For Health Recovery Following Lee Min-ho Mention & Poor Stage Manner Controversies
According to a report by Star News on February 26th, Park Bom arrived at Incheon International Airport on the 24th after completing the performances of 2NE1 Asia Tour Concert ‘WELCOME BACK’ in Macau on the 22nd and 23rd. Upon returning home, she reportedly plans to rest for the whole month this March, prioritizing physical recovery and mental stability over activities.
Last year, Park Bom and 2NE1 members reunited 8 years after their disbandment to celebrate the group’s 15th debut anniversary. Following the anniversary, the group announced a concert tour in various countries and is expected to perform an encore concert in Seoul for two days on April 12th and 13th.
While on tour with 2NE1, Park Bom has faced criticism from some fans for her attitude and stage appearance that seemed to lack enthusiasm during performances, especially at the recent concert in Macau. However, it is said that the main reason was the female idol’s poor physical condition. According to several fancams, Park Bom appeared to struggle with maintaining her energy as the concert progressed to the second half, unlike the beginning of the show.
A close acquaintance of Park Bom said to Star News, “She used a lot of energy in the beginning, but tended to slow down in the latter half of the show”, adding “Unfortunately, such controversial videos only highlighted moments in the latter half of the concert. She was really determined to do her best, but her stamina was not good enough”. Accordingly, Park Bom plans to focus on training her mental and physical strength for the time being to prepare for 2NE1’s encore concert in Seoul and promises to return on stage in the best condition.
Prior to the controversy over her tiring appearance at concerts, Park Bom also faced a backlash for her excessive expression of affection for actor Lee Min-ho. On the 12th, the female idol posted a photo with her selfie and Lee Min-ho’s on her social media account and confused netizens with her caption, “My husband”. A few days later, she posted Lee Min-ho’s picture again, saying “That’s right. He’s my husband”.
Park Bom has posted Lee Min-ho’s photo and called him her “husband” since last year, however, she was just expressing her affection for the actor as a fan. In this regard, Park Bom’s representative explained, “Park Bom has been watching the drama ‘The Heirs’ recently, and she seems to have made the posts because she’s so into the main character played by Lee Min-ho. There’s no special reason behind the postings”.
However, several fans raised concerns over Park Bom’s mental condition as she kept repeating the post about Lee Min-ho. In the end, even Lee Min-ho’s agency had to clarify that the actor had no personal relationship with Park Bom.
